The Plainfield Police Department
“Meet Your Neighbors”
The Plainfield Police picnic on Thursday July 15 was a great success. Thank You to all those who attended. The weather cooperated, the police and fire department were there with the D.A.R.E car, motorcycles, fire truck and plenty of giveaways for the kids. We had plenty of food, fun and social time to get to meet our neighbors along with the safety personnel who help keep us safe. The police chief Bill Doster and crew were very impressed with the turnout and that we had sent out postcards to notify everyone of the event. Several comments were made regarding speeding and not completing a full stop at the four-way stop signs at Champion and Marathon Drive. The police stated that they will make an effort to step up enforcement of this very important stop sign at the location of the park. Also, Allen Persons, the Director of Public Works shared with everyone the news about repaving of the subdivision streets over the next two years. This year the the repaving will take place on the north side of Champion Creek, (north of Champion Dr) and in 2011 the south side will be repaved. They will distribute leaflets to all the residents with all the relevant information on the repaving effort. You can also get the latest news from the Plainfield Village website. http://www.plainfield-il.org/news/villagenews.php Baum Property Services, Ltd. Responsibilities for CCHOA
